Express Entry: Fastest Immigration Pathway
Express Entry is a point-based immigration program that evaluates aspiring candidates’ profiles based on key factors such as language proficiency, age, work experience, and education. It is one of the fastest and most preferred pathways for individuals to immigrate to Canada.
The Express Entry Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) draws enable Canadian provinces and territories to select skilled workers who can meet their specific economic and labor needs. For instance, a province might prioritize certain occupations such as IT, healthcare, or construction based on local demand.
There are three different types of rounds of invitations under the Express Entry Program, including:
- Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSW): Targets skilled workers with experience in specific professions.
- Canadian Experience Class (CEC): For individuals with Canadian work experience, typically already living in Canada.
- Provincial Nominee Program (PNP): Allows provinces to nominate candidates who can meet local labor market needs.
Each of these rounds has its own criteria and selection process to help meet Canada’s immigration goals.
- General rounds of invitations
- Program-specific rounds of invitations
- Category-based rounds of invitations
Candidates who have not yet been invited should not withdraw their application from the Express Entry pool, as they may receive an Invitation to Apply (ITA) in the next round. The candidate’s profile will remain active in the Express Entry pool for 12 months from the date of submission, giving them multiple opportunities to be selected.
Currently, 80% of Canada PR applications under the Express Entry program are being processed within 6 months, making it one of the faster immigration pathways to Canada.
